Adventures for Charity was born from a family Christmas game celebrated with great enthusiasm by Stacia's siblings. Chris and Stacia masterminded a mini version of the Amazing Race as a way to compete for Christmas gifts among the extended family. Although it was wildly popular among the family, one house no longer seemed large enough to contain the fervor. Their creativity and their passion for giving back have created an organization that hosts challenging and competitive events that benefit local charities. Being parents themselves, helped to focus the beneficiary of the organization to children's causes.

Host fun, challenging, and competitive adventures that provide a unique venue for raising money and awareness for local, non-profit organizations that specialize in helping children. Adventures For Charity (AFC) is a non-profit organization that provides support to other non-profits that share a common thread - helping the children of our communities. Money raised from AFC's annual adventures will be donated to chosen non-profits, all of which focus on children. The adventures seek to raise money, support, and awareness for these non-profits in a new and exciting way while inspiring our volunteers, sponsors, and participants to make a difference in our communities, beyond just a one-day adventure. AFC is here to shake up the perception of a "typical" charity event by hosting fun, challenging, and competitive adventures that will broaden the scope of participants to include those who might not otherwise join a traditional charity event and will attract adventurers across all athletic abilities. AFC has an adventure for everyone!
